Resurgence Map Pack 1 Year, 11 Months ago
I'm in love with the new maps for this game. Especially Fuel (the oil rig one), it's just amazing.

Just wondering, how many of you guys have bought the new maps and if you like them. Or if you haven't bought them, are you going to? Why/why not?

I'm not getting it. Spending $15 every few months for new maps, no matter their quality, doesnt appeal to me. Especially when games like Battlefield 2 allow users to create their own maps, and Bad Company 2 releases free/cheap ones. Maybe IW should follow the EA model of the Cerberus Network, where buying a new game, or if you have a used copy, a one time payment for a Cerberus account, gains you access to pretty much all future content free. Of course, with Kotick in command, Activision is much too greedy to do so, and I am thus boycotting this as a matter of principle. I'm sure the maps themselves are quite enjoyable, and hopefully your purchase is worth it to you. For me, no, but it's different for everyone

I completely agree with everything you said there.
I do think they should follow EA's example but, as you said, Activision is way too greedy.
I purchased them because I make Youtube videos and like to be able to make videos on new maps (hoping for more views ) but that's just why I bought them.
They're great maps but I don't think the next set will be bought by me unless they bring back Crossfire and Shipment

yeah of course, you have a unique situation regarding Youtube. I don't have any such requirements, so it is not a must-buy for me
