Homeland Security is a very difficult and extremely fun mission. There are a few different strategies to beat this mission but we found our way to be the easiest. Notice we stay behind the second shelf for bullet protection. Notice the placement of the first sentry gun; duplicate it exactly or else they will kill it. We don't know why they don't kill it in the open but for some reason it lasts for a while if you put at least one leg on the sewer lid.
